Privacy Policy for Listan 2027

This privacy policy describes how maca Development processes personal data and other information when you use the mobile application Listan 2027.

Listan 2027 is designed with a focus on privacy and local processing wherever possible. We strive to collect and process as little personal information as possible in order to provide the app’s features.

1. Controller

maca Development is responsible for the processing of personal data carried out within the scope of Listan 2027.

2. What information may be processed?

Which data is processed depends on which features you use.

Listan 2027 may handle the following types of information.

Apple ID and sign-in

If you use Sign in with Apple, the app may gain access to information that Apple provides for authentication.

This may include, for example:

  • a technical user ID
  • name, if you choose to share it
  • email address, if you choose to share it.

If you use Apple’s Hide My Email feature, Apple may provide a unique forwarding address instead of your usual email address.

Listan 2027 does not have access to your Apple ID password.

Shopping lists

Information that you enter into the app yourself may be stored and synchronized.

This may include, for example:

  • item names
  • categories
  • quantities
  • units
  • notes
  • stores
  • sort orders
  • shopping lists
  • previous purchases
  • archived lists.

Households

If you use household features, information about the household and its members may be processed.

This may include, for example:

  • household ID
  • member ID
  • display name
  • shared shopping lists
  • information added by members themselves.

Information shared within a household may be visible to other members of the same household.

Receipts

If you use the receipt feature, you can choose to photograph or import a receipt yourself.

A receipt may contain, for example:

  • store name
  • date
  • time
  • items
  • prices
  • total amount
  • other information printed on the receipt.

You decide which receipts you choose to add to the app.

Recipes

If you use recipe features, the app may process information that you save or import yourself, for example:

  • recipe name
  • ingredients
  • instructions
  • images
  • links.

Technical information

In order for the app to function, certain technical information may be processed, for example:

  • device type
  • operating system and version
  • app version
  • technical identifiers
  • information required for troubleshooting
  • information about technical errors.

We strive not to collect more technical information than is necessary to provide the service.

3. Receipts and OCR

Listan 2027 may include a feature for reading and interpreting information from photographs of receipts.

The OCR feature uses Apple’s Vision framework to identify text and other relevant information.

Local processing

Receipt analysis is performed locally on the user’s Apple device.

Receipt photos are not sent to maca Development and are not sent to any external OCR service for text recognition.

maca Development therefore does not automatically gain access to the receipt images analyzed with this feature.

After the local analysis, the information the user chooses to save, such as store, date, items and amounts, may be stored as part of the user’s Listan data.

If iCloud synchronization is used, the saved information may be synchronized via Apple iCloud/CloudKit.

OCR results may contain errors. The user is therefore responsible for checking the information before using it for example for accounting, reimbursements or other financial handling.

The user should not add sensitive documents or information that is not necessary for the app’s function.

4. Camera and images

Listan 2027 may need access to the camera for features such as receipt scanning.

The camera is used only when the user activates a feature that requires the camera.

The app does not get access to the camera unless the user has granted the necessary permission according to Apple’s privacy and permissions system.

Images used for OCR are processed locally as described in the section on receipts and OCR.

5. iCloud and synchronization

Listan 2027 may use Apple iCloud and CloudKit for storage and synchronization.

This may mean that information you save in the app is synchronized between your Apple devices.

This may include, for example:

  • shopping lists
  • items
  • categories
  • stores
  • recipes
  • household information
  • saved receipt results
  • other app data.

Information stored in iCloud is handled through Apple’s technical platform and is also subject to Apple’s privacy terms.

maca Development does not have access to your iCloud password.

6. Households and shared information

Listan 2027 may offer features to create or join households and share information with other users.

When you choose to share information with a household, the information may become available to the people who have permission to the same household.

You are responsible for sharing only information that you are entitled to share.

maca Development is not responsible for how other household members use information that you have chosen to share, except for liability arising under mandatory law.

7. Why do we process information?

Information may be processed in order to:

  • provide Listan 2027
  • create and manage shopping lists
  • synchronize information between Apple devices
  • enable households and shared lists
  • provide receipt and OCR features
  • provide recipe features
  • handle purchases and subscriptions
  • provide support
  • detect and fix technical problems
  • protect the service against misuse
  • comply with legal obligations.

We do not process personal data for purposes other than those stated in this privacy policy without informing you when required by law.

8. Legal basis

When the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the basis of one or more of the following legal grounds.

Contract

When the processing is necessary to provide a feature or service that you have chosen to use.

Consent

When your consent is required for a particular processing activity.

You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the consent was withdrawn.

Legal obligation

When the processing is required to comply with a legal obligation.

Legitimate interest

When the processing is necessary for, for example, security, troubleshooting, support and development of the service, and our interests do not outweigh your rights and freedoms.

9. Personal data we do not collect

Listan 2027 is not intended to collect sensitive personal data.

We do not request information about, for example:

  • health
  • political opinions
  • religion
  • trade union membership
  • sexual orientation
  • biometric data.

You should not enter such information into the app unless it is necessary for the app’s function.

10. Third parties

Listan 2027 uses Apple’s platforms and services for certain features.

This may include, for example:

  • Apple
  • App Store
  • iCloud
  • CloudKit
  • Sign in with Apple
  • Apple’s payment system
  • Apple’s Vision framework.

Apple’s Vision framework is used locally on the device for OCR and does not mean that receipt images are sent to an external OCR provider through Listan 2027.

Third parties may process information according to their own terms and privacy policies.

maca Development does not sell personal data to third parties.

11. Purchases and payments

Listan 2027 may include features that are free of charge as well as features that require payment, subscription or one-time purchase.

Payments via the app are handled by Apple and the App Store.

maca Development does not handle your full payment card number through Listan 2027.

Information about purchases and subscriptions may be processed to the extent required to:

  • verify access to paid features
  • handle support cases
  • manage subscriptions
  • comply with legal obligations.

12. Storage and retention period

We store personal data for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected or for as long as we are required to do so by law.

Information belonging to your account or household may remain as long as the account or service is used.

When information is no longer needed, it may be deleted or anonymized.

Information stored in Apple iCloud may also be subject to Apple’s own rules for storage and deletion.

13. Security

maca Development takes reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, loss or destruction.

However, no digital service can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are also responsible for protecting your Apple ID and your Apple devices.

We recommend that you use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication on your Apple account.

14. Your rights under the GDPR

If the GDPR applies to the processing, you have the right to, among other things:

  • request information about which personal data we process about you
  • request correction of inaccurate data
  • request deletion of personal data
  • request restriction of processing
  • object to certain processing
  • request data portability when the conditions for this are met
  • withdraw consent when the processing is based on consent.

Some rights apply only under certain conditions.

15. Deletion of information

You can stop using Listan 2027 and uninstall the app at any time.

However, uninstalling the app does not necessarily mean that all information stored in iCloud or other services is automatically deleted.

If the app offers features for deleting an account or data, those should be used to request or carry out deletion.

When a deletion request is made, we may need to verify your identity before carrying out the action.

16. Children

Listan 2027 is not specifically directed at children.

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children in a way that conflicts with applicable law.

If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personal data and wants the information to be handled or deleted, they can contact us via the support page.

17. Changes to the privacy policy

This privacy policy may be updated as Listan 2027 develops, when new features are introduced or when legislation changes.

In the event of significant changes, we will notify you in an appropriate manner when required.

18. Complaints

If you believe that your personal data is being processed in a way that violates the GDPR, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish supervisory authority:

Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (IMY)

You also have the right to contact a competent supervisory authority in the EU/EEA country where you live or work.
