How it works

1. Scan the website

One click maps active plugins, known third-party services, cookies, scripts, and forms. The scan combines server-side and browser scanning — it visits up to ten public pages (e.g. homepage, contact, checkout, and landing pages) to find what isn’t visible in the admin.

2. Publish policy documents

Based on the scan, drafts are generated for:

  • Privacy policy
  • Cookie policy
  • GDPR information
  • Terms of use

The documents are available in Swedish and English and include, among other things, legal grounds, retention periods, processing tables, and conditional sections depending on which plugins and services were found. Publish them as regular WordPress pages with one click.

3. Activate consent

Fill in organization details, turn on the cookie banner, and create a consent page. Visitors can accept, reject, or customize cookies — and change their choice later.

  1. Download and upload the maca-polly folder to /wp-content/plugins/
  2. Activate the plugin in WordPress
  3. Go to maca Polly → Setup guide and run a site scan
  4. Review and publish policy documents under Policies
  5. Activate the cookie banner under Settings

Yes. Analytics and marketing scripts are blocked until the corresponding category is approved.

Run a new scan — or enable daily scanning so you get an alert when something has changed and the documents may need updating.
