maca Hub

maca Hub Connector

Your WordPress in your pocket

maca Hub is the mobile app for those who manage WordPress websites with maca plugins. Instead of logging in to each site and searching for problems, you get a clear overview directly on your phone: what is working, what needs attention, and what can wait.

See the status of all sites, get alerts when something happens, and manage maca plugins such as security, news, SEO, surveys, and chat — wherever you are.

maca Hub Connector is the free WordPress plugin that connects the site to the app. It takes a few minutes to install and lets Hub communicate securely with the website — without you needing to share passwords or keep track of API keys.

Why maca Hub?

Without Hub With Hub
Log in to each site to check the status An overview of all sites
Discover problems too late Push notifications for critical events
Plugin updates get left behind Alerts and updates directly from the app
Hard to share an overview with colleagues Invite team members with clear roles

Hub is built for those who run, maintain, or monitor multiple WordPress sites — and want to save time every day.

Who is it for?

  • Web administrators and developers who want control without sitting at a computer
  • Agencies that manage many client sites
  • Owners and operations managers who want to know immediately if something goes wrong
  • Colleagues who only need to see the status or act on selected tasks

The WordPress administrator installs the Connector and creates a pairing code. The rest happens in the app.

Get started in a few minutes

  1. Install maca Hub Connector on the website (WordPress admin).
  2. Create a pairing code under Maca Hub in wp-admin (valid for 10 minutes).
  3. Download maca Hub and sign in with your maca account.
  4. Enter the site address and the code under Settings — done.

After that, you will see the site on the dashboard. Pull down to refresh, and turn on notifications so you don’t miss anything important.

Want a colleague to follow along? Invite them by email — they don’t need their own pairing code.

FAQ

Does maca Hub cost anything?
The app is part of the maca ecosystem. maca Hub Connector is free to install on the website. Some maca plugins may have their own licenses — this does not affect the basic connection. maca Hub is currently under development.

Do I need maca plugins to use Hub?
Hub is useful when the site runs maca plugins (e.g. maca Sec). The Connector is the foundation; the plugins provide the rich functionality in the app.

Is it safe to connect the site?
Yes. The connection is made with a one-time code that expires quickly. The app receives a secure token — no passwords are shared, and access can be revoked in WordPress at any time.

Can multiple people use the same site in Hub?
Yes. The admin invites colleagues with the role of observer (see status) or operator (can act). The admin manages the WordPress connection itself.

Does it work on both iPhone and Android?
Yes. maca Hub will be available for iOS and Android. On iPhone, there will also be a widget with a quick overview.

What happens if I change phones?
Sign in with the same account — your connected sites will follow you.

Do I have to be at a computer to update plugins?
No, with maca Hub Connector and the right permissions, you can update plugins directly from the app.

I already have maca Sec — do I need the Connector?
maca Hub Connector is the recommended way forward. It provides better integration, faster sync, and more features in the app — including direct plugin updates.
