Before you contact us

  1. Update maca DownList Pro to the latest version from maca.se.
  2. Do not run the free and Pro plugins together — deactivate the WordPress.org build first.
  3. Go to Settings → Permalinks → Save if download links return 404.
  4. Read maca DownList → Guide in WordPress admin.

Installation & license

How do I activate the Pro license?

Purchase at maca.se/maca-downlist-pro/.
You receive an SF-PRO-… key by email. On your site:
maca DownList → Settings → License → paste key → Activate license.

Can I activate Pro on the free WordPress.org plugin?

No. WordPress.org does not allow paid license activation in the directory package.
Download maca DownList Pro separately after purchase.

One license — one website?

Yes. One SF-PRO- key normally applies to one WordPress installation.
Contact us if you need staging + production.

Are lists and files kept when switching from free to Pro?

Yes. Deactivate and remove the WordPress.org plugin, install Pro, and activate your license.
Database content is kept.

File lists & downloads

Downloads not working / 404

Save Settings → Permalinks. Confirm Pro is active and files still exist
(Media Library or protected storage in Pro).

Where is the download log?

maca DownList → Download log (Pro). Requires an active license.

Video player or automatic thumbnails

These are Pro features. Check your license under Settings → License
and enable the feature in the list settings.

Languages

Admin and front-end follow your site language under Settings → General.
English, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, French, and Spanish are included.
